GVBIS Mission Statement
"To whom God
would make known what is the riches of the
glory of this mystery among the Gentiles;
which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
Whom we preach, warning every man, and
teaching every man in all wisdom; that we
may present every man perfect in Christ

according to his working, which worketh in

Christian young men and women should have
the opportunity to be trained in their
life's vocation as directed from the Lord.
Unfortunately, many of today's colleges are
too far away and too expensive for many
young people to attend. Genesee Valley
Baptist Institute and Seminary (GVBIS) has
solved the problems of distance and lack of
funds. Our off campus programs are designed
for the student who wants to study at home.
Since the study programs are so flexible,
the student can plan his learning time
around his work schedule. The programs are
designed to be affordable since the tuition
costs are so low. GVBIS makes training and
learning convenient and affordable.
The local church, whenever
possible, should be active in the training
of its young men and women. Unfortunately,
when a student is "sent off" to college, he
becomes active in the school programs and
the local church programs take second place. GVBIS
has solved the problem of the student's lack
of involvement in the local church. Our
programs are designed so that all students
must be active in their local church
programs. Because the student learns at
home, he may continue to be active in his
local church. We also encourage local
pastors to take an active role in the
training of the students in their church. We
can work with you to set up an
extension institute in your own church!
Training for the
Lord ought to be rewarding and yet
challenging. GVBIS has designed its program
of study to be of utmost quality. When a
student has finished his education at GVBIS,
he will be equipped to serve the Lord in the
work that God has called him to accomplish.
Since the student receives practical
training, he will have the experience
necessary to give him a head start.
